3 Lights
1 LightFewer fittings, full aisle coverage, not just a regular batten
Warehouse emergency lighting plays a crucial role in safety, but standard battens share one limitation: they aren't engineered to project light efficiently down long, narrow racking aisles from high mounting points.
That limitation forces more fittings spaced closer together just to stay compliant, driving up installation costs, material costs, and the ongoing maintenance bill for every extra luminaire in the aisle.
Our high-powered battens were built to solve exactly that. They throw intense, focused illumination up to 55m apart at a 15m mounting height, cutting the number of fittings you need per aisle.

Why efficient spacing
Specified for reach,
chosen for savings
Hardware costs
Wider spacing means dramatically fewer battens per facility. A 30m aisle that would need 3 standard D40-rated fittings needs just 1 of our high-powered batten.
Labor & cabling
Fewer fittings per aisle means fewer electrical connections, conduit runs, cable trays and circuit points to wire, test and commission. Cutting electrician hours and shortening the overall project timeline.
Lifecycle maintenance
Fewer battens installed means fewer batteries, lenses and LEDs to inspect, test and eventually replace. With a high-temp LiFePO4 battery and an LED rated for 50,000 hours, each fitting also needs less frequent attention on its own.
Mounting height
Standard D40-rated battens aren't tested or rated past a 10m mounting height, so tall racking aisles push them beyond their limits. Our high-powered batten is rated to a full 15m. The extra reach that makes the fitting-count reduction possible.

Frequently asked questions
What's different about E&E Lighting's high-powered emergency battens?
Standard emergency battens aren't engineered to throw light efficiently down long, narrow racking aisles from high mounting points, so warehouses end up needing more fittings, spaced closer together, just to stay compliant. Our high-powered series was purpose-built for exactly that environment: tall ceilings and narrow aisles.
How far apart can the fittings be spaced?
Up to 55m apart at a 15m mounting height. Dramatically wider than standard battens, which cuts the number of fittings needed per aisle.
What mounting height are these rated for?
Up to 15m. That's well beyond what standard lower-classification battens are typically rated for, which is exactly what lets you cover tall racking aisles with fewer fittings.
Are they compliant with Australian standards?
Yes. AS/NZS 2293 (emergency lighting), AS/NZS 60598.1 (luminaire safety), and EMC (interference compliance).
How much can switching actually save?
Fewer fittings per aisle means fewer fixtures to buy, fewer electrical connections and cable runs to install, and fewer batteries and lenses to test and replace over the building's life. All while maintaining full AS/NZS 2293 compliance.
Do I still need to follow AS/NZS 2293.1 spacing rules?
Yes. Wider spacing doesn't mean skipping compliance. Care should still be taken to ensure conformance with Clause 4.3 of AS/NZS 2293.1 (e.g. maximum 500 m² per emergency luminaire).
