The complete range of matching non-emergency LED lighting

Non Emergency Lights

Non-emergency lights are standard LED fittings without an emergency battery. E&E’s non-emergency range mirrors its emergency battens, oysters and bunkers — same housings, same diffusers — so emergency and non-emergency fittings can sit side by side in a ceiling with an identical look.

The range covers 20W and 40W LED battens in 600 mm, 700 mm and 1200 mm lengths, plus circular oysters and rugged bunkers, with weatherproof and wire guard options. Every fitting is designed and tested to AS/NZS 60598.1.

Frequently asked questions

What is a non-emergency light?

A non-emergency light is a standard LED fitting without an emergency battery. It provides everyday illumination only and switches off during a power failure, unlike its emergency counterpart which keeps running on battery.

Why buy non-emergency fittings from an emergency lighting manufacturer?

Because they match. E&E's non-emergency battens, oysters and bunkers use the same housings and diffusers as the emergency models, so a ceiling that mixes both looks completely uniform.

Do non-emergency lights need to comply with AS/NZS 2293?

No. AS/NZS 2293 applies to emergency luminaires and exit signs. Non-emergency fittings are standard luminaires covered by AS/NZS 60598.1.

Can I mix emergency and non-emergency fittings in the same ceiling?

Yes — that is exactly what this range is for. Install emergency models where your AS/NZS 2293 spacing design requires them and fill the remaining positions with the matching non-emergency versions.

Do non-emergency models come in black?

One black model is available: a weatherproof circular oyster for dark undercover areas. The wider Theatre Black range sits on the emergency side, so if you need matching black fittings across a dark ceiling, use the emergency models.
